4.8: Grades Section

A grades section adds course assignments and the grading scheme to the syllabus page. If Canvas contains existing assignments, the Syllabus tool can move the assignment details list into the body of the syllabus page. If a grade scheme exists in Canvas, the tool adds it to the syllabus page. If a grade scheme has not been set in Canvas, the tool takes the user to the Settings page to create one.

To add a Course Assignments section

1. On the Syllabus tools menu, click Grades.
2. On the Grades panel, select the Course Assignments.
   
3. (Optional) Click From Canvas to insert a copy of the Canvas assignment list.
4. (Optional) Type any additional information.
5. (Optional) Click Custom Table to open the Custom Table tool and create an assignment table.
6. Click Update Syllabus.

To add a grading scheme section

1. On the Syllabus tools menu, click Grades.
2. On the Grades panel, select the Grade Scheme check box.
   
3. If a grade scheme is not set, follow the instructions to set the course grade scheme.
4. Click Update Syllabus.
