2.4.9: Colors

The Colors tool changes the background, border, or text color of page elements.

Interface

Change the Color of Page Elements

  1. Open the page for editing.
  2. Launch the USU Design Tools.
  3. On the USU Design Tools menu, click Colors.
  4. Place the cursor within the element.
  5. In the Colors panel, click the down arrow next to the element.
  6. In the Color palette, select the color to use. Click more to see more color options.
  7. Click Save.

The Colors tool changes the background, border, or text color of a parent element.

Change the Color of the Parent Element

  1. Open the page for editing.
  2. Launch the USU Design Tools.
  3. On the USU Design Tools menu, click Colors.
  4. Place the cursor within the element.
  5. Select the breadcrumb below the element.
  6. In the Colors panel, click the down arrow next to the element.
  7. In the Color palette, select the color to use. Click more to see more color options.
  8. Click Save.

Remove custom colors from a page element

  1. Open the page for editing.
  2. Launch the USU Design Tools.
  3. On the USU Design Tools menu, click Colors.
  4. Place the cursor within the element.
  5. In the Colors panel, click the Remove Custom Colors.
  6. Click Save.
